"Don't ask yourself what the world needs...ask yourself what makes you alive because what the world needs are people who have come alive."

-Rainier Maria Rilke

"Trauma is personal. It does not disappear if it is not validated. When it is ignored or invalidated the silent screams continue internally heard only by the one held captive. When someone enters the pain and hears the screams healing can begin."

-Danielle Bernock

"You are not a victim for sharing your story. You are a survivor setting the world on fire with your truth. And you never know who needs your light, your warmth, and raging courage."

-Alex Elle

Do you wonder…

Do you wonder:

  • Am I living my life or someone else’s life?
  • Am I compromising my authentic opinion, thoughts, and feelings?
  • Have you noticed how many times you say no to yourself?
  • Are you paralyzed by fear instead of feeling fear as an experience of being alive?

To be Creative…

Takes having an intimate relationship with yourself. This means opening to the emotional, expressive parts of your being. Many times we cut off from the feeling part of our experience because it is too painful to express. We only want to feel good. In doing this type of psychic numbing, we destroy the most juicy and passionate parts of our creativity.

Carl Jung, taught, “There is no light without shadow and no psychic wholeness without imperfection. This statement magnifies the possibility of entering into the unknown, the void and the mystery of our feeling nature. To receive this invitation into the hidden parts is the descent into the feminine nature.

To be Captured…

To be captured by the calling of the creative odyssey awakens passionate expression. Learning to be in relationship with the feminine, or the muse is surrendering to the fire in your body. Allowing yourself to feel fear and excitement and express your deepest truths is a blessing and a release from limitation and control. If you are consumed by doing it right, looking good, and being nice, her voice will die within you. To feel, hear, smell, taste, express and touch life in new and voluptuous ways is the path to liberation. If you resist her calling, ignore the urge to feel, express and create, the consequence is a plunge into depression.

Marion Woodman said, “Homesickness for a woman is the loss of self.” Today, the loss of self in our culture is as damaging to men as it is to women. Driven to accomplish and be successful no matter what the cost, is death to the feminine nature. Creative expression is the resurrection of the feminine, finding her feet upon the earth helps men and women alike to find their home here on the planet.

The feminine guides you…

The feminine guides you to live in your body where creativity, emotions, intuitions, passion and vision can be birthed into the world. You do not have to perfect in order to live your dreams. Without imperfection, as Jung eluded, there is no journey, no urge, no craving to move forward and express.

Nirvana is found in the balance between the male and female nature. However, society still annihilates the feminine. The absence of feminine guidance blinds the masculine and stifles the authentic male to speak his truth. All things are birthed from the feminine energy and all things are built by the masculine energy. The marriage of these opposite energies is the juice we are seeking to feel alive and well…and where all great art comes from…

Creativity is…

Creativity is an act of being not doing. It is surrendering to the unknown, the mystery, the body, the psyche, the soul, and your personal truth.
